HireBus alternatives: what is verifiable, and what compares

Updated September 2026. Prices and claims checked against live sources at that date.

HireBus is a home services hiring platform with a done-for-you pitch: they build your hiring funnel, manage your job board spend, and score candidates with a behavioral assessment called RightSeat plus an AI assistant called Iris. If you are researching it, you have probably noticed the hard part: its pricing page routes you through a questionnaire, and there is very little independent review coverage to check. This page sticks to what we could verify as of September 2026, and lays out the alternatives with published numbers.

The pricing facts

HireBus does not present pricing tiers up front, but its pricing page, checked September 2026, carries the plan data: Iris Starter at $297 per month, Growth at $597 per month, and Max at $997 per month, plus a $500 one-time onboarding fee that is waived on annual billing, with a three month minimum commitment. Annual billing is pitched as two months free plus waived onboarding. The one concrete performance commitment it publishes is an Activation Guarantee: if their system has not produced 25 RightSeat candidate scores in your first 30 days, month two is free.

None of that makes HireBus a bad option. It does mean you should confirm the total first-year number in writing on the sales call, including onboarding, ad spend, and the commitment term, and compare it against the alternatives below with the same math.

The review footprint

As of September 2026, HireBus has almost no third-party review presence: G2 lists it without enough reviews to rate, and we found no substantive review base on Capterra, Trustpilot, or the BBB. Domain trust checkers rate the site legitimate. Absence of reviews is not evidence of a problem, especially for a newer company, but it means the usual due diligence shortcut, reading fifty verified reviews, is not available. Ask for referenceable customers in your trade instead.

Questions to ask any done-for-you hiring service

  • What is the total first-year cost in writing, including onboarding, ad spend, minimum commitment, and any per-hire fees?
  • Who actually runs hiring on this system themselves? Ask for the operator, not the case study.
  • What are the live numbers: median time from application to first contact, and interview show rate?
  • What happens to the system if you leave? Owning the funnel and renting it are different purchases.
  • Can you talk to two current customers in your trade?

Why listen to us

Qualified Hires is built and run by the owner of Cascade Home Cleaning, a residential cleaning company doing over $100K per month per location. Our own crews are hired through the platform. Across 272 applicants in the 30 days before this was written, the median time from application to first text message was 7.9 minutes, and 4 out of 5 applicants got a first touch within 10 minutes. Those numbers come straight from our production database, measured August 2026.

Frequently asked questions

How much does HireBus cost?

The plans on HireBus's own pricing page, checked September 2026, are Iris Starter at $297 per month, Growth at $597 per month, and Max at $997 per month, plus a $500 one-time onboarding fee waived on annual billing, with a three month minimum. The page routes you through a questionnaire rather than showing tiers up front, so confirm your number in writing on the call.

Is HireBus legit?

It is a real company with a real product aimed at home services hiring, and domain trust checkers rate its site legitimate. What it lacks, as of September 2026, is an independent review base: G2 cannot rate it for lack of reviews and we found no substantive presence on Capterra or Trustpilot. Reasonable diligence is to ask for referenceable customers in your trade and get the full price in writing.

HireBus vs Qualified Hires: what is the actual difference?

Both are done-for-you hiring for home services. The checkable differences: Qualified Hires publishes its prices up front ($4,000 one-time build, or $3,000 per month managed plus ad costs with a $2,500 one-time onboarding), publishes live platform stats, and is built by an owner who runs his own cleaning company on it daily. HireBus carries its plan pricing inside a questionnaire flow and publishes an activation guarantee. Beyond that, get both on a call and compare the specifics for your trade.
