Deltex Electric is a family-owned electrical shop, 40 years in Buffalo. We install and service security systems, camera systems, and fire alarms in some of the nicest homes and buildings in Western New York. This is not a pull-cable-all-day job. You run service calls out of your own van, and you also walk jobs, design systems from blueprints, price the work, and then install what you designed. One day you are in the field, the next you are pricing a camera add-on for a customer who asked for you by name. Pay is $30 to $40 an hour based on experience, with your own van and gas card. We are a Mircom dealer: they run 8 classes a year in the area and we pay for you to go. There is room to run the low-voltage side of the shop as you grow into it.
A low voltage technician with at least 2 years of paid experience on security, camera, or fire alarm systems who wants more than a pull-cable job. You can look at a set of blueprints and design the system, or you are close and want to learn. Customers hand you the credentials to their security systems, so you are the kind of person they can trust with that.
