We're looking for Service Technicians who can handle soil testing, subsurface investigation, and foundation assessment work across residential and commercial properties. You'll be trained to use drilling and sampling equipment, interpret soil conditions, and communicate findings clearly to clients and our engineering team. This role requires someone who's detail-oriented, physically capable, and genuinely interested in understanding what's happening below the surface. If you're willing to learn the science behind geotechnical work, not just go through the motions, we want to talk to you.

Steady work year-round with occasional seasonal upticks
Direct input on job planning and problem-solving
Opportunity to move into crew lead or specialist roles

From the Owner

I started Cole Garner Geotechnical because I got tired of seeing foundation and soil problems handled by crews who didn't really understand what they were looking at. After years doing this work myself, I knew we could do it better. We're a small team that takes pride in diagnosing exactly what's happening beneath a property and fixing it right the first time. Our Service Technicians are the backbone of that. We're not trying to upsell people or cut corners on difficult jobs. If you're someone who actually wants to understand soil composition and subsurface conditions instead of just punching a clock, we're a place where that matters.

Our Values

Dig Into It
We don't guess at what's under the ground; we investigate, test, and understand it completely before recommending solutions.
Show Up Right
Our crews represent us directly to homeowners and commercial clients, so we hire people who are reliable, communicate clearly, and take the work seriously.
Build It to Last
We'd rather spend extra time on a job and have it solved than rush through and see the same property six months later.
Keep Learning
Soil and foundation work changes with new methods and materials, so we invest in training our team to stay sharp.

What Our Team Says

When I started here, I thought I knew geotechnical work. My first few months, I realized how much I was missing. The owner and senior techs actually taught me to read soil conditions instead of just following a checklist. It's made me way better at this job and honestly more confident about what I recommend to clients.

I appreciate that we don't pressure people into treatments they don't need. Last month I diagnosed a foundation issue that turned out to be simpler than the client thought, and we quoted them less than they expected. That's the kind of business this is.

The work varies constantly. One day you're doing soil boring and testing, the next you're on a remediation site. You need to stay sharp, and this company makes sure you have the tools and training to handle whatever comes up. Plus, the crew actually gets along.
